Rose has been smiling and squealing for some time now, but today she giggled for the first time. I was sitting with her in my lap, bouncing her up and down making silly noises, and this low, throaty gargle started. It then progressed into a full-on giggle! It wasn’t exactly like an adult giggle, but it was exactly like baby Talullah’s giggle when Brent held her upside down.
The other great thing about today is that Rose slept for an hour and a half this morning! I went down to the gym and gave Dad instructions on what to do if she woke. If she woke and babbled, he should leave her in her cot. He should only get her up if she actually yelled or sounded distressed. Anyway, apparently she groaned at the 40-minute mark, and then fell back sleep again. Wonders never cease.
